Open interest up by Rs 628 million

Total open interest position at the futures counter during the week increased by Rs 628 million, up 25 percent on week-on-week basis to Rs 3.1 billion. The average daily volumes at the futures counter also increased by 115 percent on week-on-week basis to 20.1 million shares.
The futures spreads went up by 98bps on week-on-week basis to 10.36 percent. The top-five scrips at the futures counter holding 59 percent of the total open interest were ENGRO, DGKC, NML, FFC and NBP.
