Work on drug-testing lab to be completed by June

On the direction of Chief Minister Punjab, a state-of-the-art 'Drug Testing Laboratory' is under construction in Sundar Industrial Estate which would be completed by June this year. This laboratory would provide best facilities for quality analysis of locally manufactured medicines, Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Health Khawaja Salman Rafique, said.
While talking to a delegation of Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA), here on Tuesday, Khawaja Salman said that Chief Minister has provided a piece of land for Drug Testing Laboratory besides funds worth of Rs 50 million for this purpose. He said that Chief Minister is determined to provide best quality medicines to the people of Punjab and already directed for establishing Drug Testing Laboratory on emergent basis.
