Pakistan Japan Business Forum (PJBF) held recently a memorial meeting on the first anniversary of the earthquake and tsunami that devastated the Great East Japan during March 2011. PJBF Senior Vice Chairman Nakagawa reported that about 20,000 Japanese including missing people had lost their lives, while due to disaster and nuke radiation 344,000 effected Japanese are still compelled to stay in temporary houses.
Nakagawa hoped that "things are yet very difficult to cope with however, we as Japanese nation shall overcome all the difficulties with resilience and solidarity". Nakagawa further stated that PJBF members also endeavoured to support and provide resources for their Japanese brethren in their hour of need. The memorial meeting is to further bond the close relationship between Japan and Pakistan. At this occasion, participants from different walk of life kept silence for a minute to departed soul.-PR
