City District Government Lahore (CDGL) has started survey of identification of industrial units in residential areas of provincial capital. According to an official on Thursday, the survey has started on the direction of District Co-ordination Officer (DCO) Lahore, Noor-ul-Amin Mengal. Teams of town administration have pointed out 37 industrial units situated in residential areas in one day.
According to details, 3 industrial units identified by teams at Ravi Town, 5 industrial units at Data Gunj Baksh Town, 6 at Gulberg Town, 4 each at Aziz Bhatti Town and Iqbal Town, 3 each at Shalimar Town and Samanabad Town while 5 industrial units pointed out at Nishtar Town and 4 at Wagha Town.
The DCO Lahore said no negligence would be tolerated during survey of industrial units at residence areas. He also directed the concerned authorities to complete the survey process as early as possible.
Meanwhile, the DCO Lahore paid a surprise visit to Pak Tea House. On the occasion, he instructed the concern officers to reopen the Pak Tea House soon after its renovation; an old traditional literary institution should be reinstated in its original shape.
