A US funded South Asian US College education fair tour made a two-day stop in Lahore. The education fair was held from April 11-12 at Forman Christian College (FCC) and featured four representatives from US higher education institutions.
Students from Lahore and across the Punjab obtained information about studying in the US and student life in America directly from US university representatives. Education USA, a US Department of State funded global network of student advising centres organized the event. There are four student advising centres in Pakistan. "Encouraging Pakistani students to study in the US is one of our top priories and a great way to foster better understanding between our countries," said US Consulate General Lahore Public Affairs Officer Brinille Ellis, who attended the education fair.
This is the second South Asian annual education fair tour organised by Education USA. Last year, US university representatives travelled across the region from Sri Lanka, to Bangladesh, to Nepal, and then to Pakistan.
