The Planning and Development (P&D) department has moved a summary to Sindh Chief Minister, seeking an extension in the service of Director General of (Monitoring and Evaluation Cell) as Consultant in the same cell, informed sources told Business Recorder her on Thursday. According to sources, the move is a clear violation of a Supreme Court verdict.
During the hearing of Hajj corruption case, the apex court declared re-employment of retired government officers on senior positions as a violation of law, the sources added.
Sources said that Abdul Rafique Laghari, Director General of (Monitoring and Evaluation Cell) of P&D department, was retired on March 31st 2012 and the Additional Chief Secretary P&D Malik Asrar Hussein moved a summary to the Sindh Chief Minister a few weeks ago for an extension in his service.
