The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has made all 37 water filtration plants operational in the federal capital, an official said on Friday. "All filtration plants have been made operational by replacing water filters and after necessary repairs and maintenance work," a senior official of CDA's Engineering Wing was quoted as saying in a briefing to the Chairman of the Prime Minister's Task Force on Islamabad, Faisal Butt.
The task force's chairman had given the CDA a 15-day deadline to make all water filtration plants operational. The turf tile work and white washing would be completed by next week, he said. The official said that that water tanker service should also be improved.
