Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday condemned the government's decision to open Nato routes. He was addressing the PTI Women Convention Punjab 2012. Khan expressed concern over the loss of 40,000 Pakistani soldiers in the US war against terrorism and reiterated that Pakistan must stop fighting the US war.
Condemning sectarian violence in northern areas, he said the perpetrators of such condemnable act are no friends of Pakistan. "When we will come to power, rule of law will be established and zero tolerance will be shown to any kind of violence," he added.
He was confident that no laptops or Benazir Income Support Programme can stop people from voting the PTI and both the PPP and PML-N will be defeated in the next general elections. He told the PTI female workers that the tsunami has entered every house, school, college and university. "No laptops and Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) can now change the minds of people who have decided to vote for Imran Khan," he said. He promised for not making the PTI a 'family party', like PPP and PML-N, only its workers will have the right to choose its leadership. He also said all political parties have joined hands to counter the PTI tsunami and protect their interests, but 'the alliance' will fail in averting the PTI revolution.
According to him, woman's contribution in the country's progress cannot be ignored. They had played a vital role in putting the country on the path of progress. Hence, the PTI would take all necessary steps for their economic empowerment. Behind every successful nation, there were educated mothers; thus, it was imperative to educate females.
