Kaira urges media to report with responsibility

Newly appointed Federal Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira appreciated the role of media in democracy but urged the media to report with responsibility. Talking to a private news channel, he said that independence of media is a must for democracy. He expressed the hope that all fields including media and politics would become mature with the passage of time.
Kaira has termed the reshuffle in the cabinet a routine matter. The newly appointed ministers would utilise their potentials to serve pubic, he added. The entire country has given representation in the cabinet, he said. He rejected the impression that millions of rupees have been spent by the ministers. He expressed the hope that new ministers would assist their colleagues for national uplift. Benazir Bhutto had struggled for the freedom of expression and independence of media, he said.
