President Asif Ali Zardari arrived on his first visit to Multan on Saturday. The president, who came by a special plane on a two-day visit, was received by the Prime Minister's son MPA Syed Abdul Qadir Gilani, Federal Minister for Textiles and PPP South Punjab President Makhdoom Shahabuddin, Raja Riaz, Begum Belum Husnain, other party leaders and senior officials.
The president proceeded to the PM House, which would be his temporary residence during the visit. Strict security measures have been taken and Multan has been declared a red alert zone for the president's arrival.
