Federal Advisor on Textile, Government of Pakistan, Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig has said that more than 650 delegates from Pakistan participated Lifestyle Pakistan Exhibition held in New Delhi from April 12 till 15, 2012. Returned after attending Lifestyle Pakistan Exhibition, he said participants from Pakistan representing renowned Pakistani brands mainly from textile. Pakistani lawns and ladies costumes dominated the exhibition.
According to Dr Baig, the exhibitors easily sold their products and fetched good orders which shows the demand for Pakistani textile in Indian markets. During the exhibition, a fabulous fashion show was organised by TDAP, attended by more than thousand guests followed by Pakistani musical and cultural programme which has created a great interest among the participants.
Dr Baig also attended the historic inaugural ceremony of Integrated Cargo Terminal at Wagah Border jointly by Indian Home Minister Chidambaram, Chief Ministers of Punjab of both countries Shahbaz Sharif and Parkash Singh Badal, Commerce Ministers and Secretaries of both countries to facilitate land route trade between India and Pakistan. Indian Trade Development Authority has shown keen interest to participate at Expo Pakistan to be held in October 2012 at Karachi.-PR
