Fauji Fertiliser Bin Qasim (FFBL) has posted an after tax loss of Rs 387.029 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2012 against an after tax profit of Rs 1,557.756 million in the corresponding quarter in 2011. In a meeting held on Tuesday, the company's board of directors declared that the company's per share loss was at Re0.41 in the period under review against a per share profit of Rs 1.67 in the same period a year ago.
According to the financial results sent to the Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's turnover declined to Rs 1.934 billion in this quarter against Rs 8.054 billion in the same quarter last year. The company's cost of sales reduced to Rs 2.199 billion against Rs 5.306 billion. The company posted a loss of Rs 402.317 million before taxation in this quarter against a profit before taxation of Rs 2,321.847 million in the same quarter last year.
