The Lahore High Court here on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of an election petition against a PML-Q MNA Nauman Ahmad Langrial for final arguments to May 4. On previous hearing, the court had directed the Speaker National Assembly to ensure appearance of the Langrial. On Tuesday, counsel of the parliamentarian appeared before the court and sought time for advancing his arguments.
Begum Shahnaz Javed of PPP, who had lost her elections against Langrial from NA-163 Sahiwal, filed the petition. The petitioner stated that the respondent MNA had contested election on the basis of fake degree.
