An FIR was filed in journalist Murtaza Razvi's murder case on Friday. According to police, an FIR 159/12 was lodged in Darakshan police station against unknown culprits on the complaint of journalist's relative. They said Additional Inspector General (AIG) Akhtar Hussain Gorchani had also formed a committee to investigate the murder case.
The committee, which would be headed by DIG South Commander Shaukat, comprises SP South Nasir Aftab, SP Crime Rang Tariq Dharejo, SP Saddar Furrukh Ali, DSP Darakshan Sheraz Asghar Sheikh and SHO Darakshan. Talking to Business Recorder, SP Furrukh said initial findings suggested that more than two persons were involved in the murder of Razvi. He said the police did not recover any major clue from the spot as the assailants took away all belongings of the deceased, including his clothes, wallet and cell phone.
