Chief Justice, High Court of Sindh, Justice Musheer Alam on Friday evening said that the issue of shortage of judges in Sindh High Court will be resolved within next couple of weeks. "In a week or two, Judicial Commission will meet and more judges will be inducted," he remarked while talking to media at Mazar-e-Quaid, here.
The Chief Justice SHC, Chief Justice of Federal Shariat Court of Pakistan, Justice Agha Rafique Ahmed Khan accompanied Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Morocco, Justice Mustapha Fares who paid tributes to the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah along with his delegation members and offered fateha.
Later talking to media, the Chief Justice SHC said that the court has received one report on law and order from the Government. The SHC had earlier shown concern over the law and order situation in Karachi and ordered Sindh Government to submit a detailed report on this account.
He said that the court is not satisfied with the report and the Government would have to take more effective measures to ensure safety of life and property of the people. When pointed out, the Chief Justice SHC assured that these reports along with the minutes of SHC monthly meetings to review the law and order would be made public for the satisfaction of the people.
"I would request the Registrar to make these reports and the minutes public," he re-affirmed. The Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Morocco in his comments to media said that both the Islamic countries enjoyed very good political relations since long. Now, he continued, both the judiciaries also have developed closer ties and increased their collaboration.
He said that the credit for this interaction between the two judiciaries goes to the Chief Justice, Federal Shariat Court of Pakistan who had visited Arab counties and had invited the Chief Justices of those states to visit to Pakistan. He said that exchange of such delegations would certainly help strengthen the judicial relations and collaboration.
He informed the media that an agreement would be signed by judiciaries of Pakistan and Morocco for increased interaction. "We will also hold a conference on strengthening the judicial links and bring both the judiciaries further close," he said.
He said that both the judiciaries were little different. However, both were independent and delivering speedy justice to their people. Chief Justice, Federal Shariat Court of Pakistan, Justice Agha Rafique Ahmed Khan said that last year he had visited Arab countries including Morocco and invited their Chief Justices to visit to Pakistan so that new era of interaction among judiciaries of the Muslim Umah can be started. This is fifth Chief Justice from a Muslim State visiting our country on his invitation, he said.
