A special ceremony was held in NIT Head Office Karachi to distribute unit certificates against 12 percent NIT shares to employees under NIT Employees Empowerment Trust (NITEET) Scheme. Chairman and MD NITL, Wazir Ali Khoja distributed unit certificates among 121 employees of NIT, who were fulfilling the criteria laid down in the Trust Dee.
NIT employees from head office and branches in Karachi attended the ceremony and appreciated the initiative of the government of Pakistan. The Chairman NIT, in his opening remarks lauded the efforts of Iqbal Ahmed, Head of NIT Administration to achieve this objective. The aim of the Government of Pakistan by this scheme is the empowerment of employees of the state own entities. The basic purpose of the scheme is to give a sense of participation to the employees in the organisation they are working for.-PR
