The administration of Dawood College of Engineering and Technology (DCET) has announced that new admissions at the institution have been completed and classes of the new batch will start from Monday (tomorrow). The written test for new admission in various technologies was conducted on 26th February, 2012 by Muhammad Ali Jinnah University under the supervision of Dr Abdul Wahab Khan for 500 seats.
It has been further said that due to devolution of the Federal Education Ministry under the 18th Amendment, the DCET came under the administrative control of the Sindh Government. This is why the seats for urban areas of Sindh were increased from 114 to 173 and for rural areas from 66 to 173. While the 100 seats have been reserved for self basis is being held on Sunday (today). The administration of the DCET had directed the newly enrolled students to make sure their presence in the classes.
