CM pays five hours non-stop visit to Multan
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday paid five hours long non-stop visit to Multan and inaugurated seven health related projects worth Rs 5.5 billion one after another.
The projects included Government Shehbaz Sharif District Hospital, new block of Children Hospital and Institute of Child Health, state-of-the-art burn unit in Nishtar Hospital, Regional Blood Center, Multan Institute of Kidney Diseases which is the largest of its kind in southern Punjab, Drug Testing Laboratory, warehouse of medicines and cold chain store.
The Chief Minister announced to bring 150 more dialysis machines for kidney center and said that if necessary, these machines would be brought by plane so that ailing humanity could be benefitted from this state-of-the-art hospital.
Shehbaz Sharif further announced setting up of two more projects in Nishtar Hospital and said that if people gave an opportunity to serve them again, this hospital would be completed within a year.
Chief Minister was very happy in the inauguration ceremony of Multan Institute of Kidney Diseases. He spoke Saraiki and Sindhi language on this occasion.
The Chief Minister appreciated Provincial Ministers Kh. Imran Nazir and Kh. Salman Rafique, Secretaries Najam Shah, Ali Jan, Dr. Abdul Bari, Muhammad Ahsan and Dr. Sajid Mehmood, officers of divisional and district administration over best arrangements.
