Ummah Welfare Trust, a United Kingdom based charity organisation has announced the Ramazan Food Package worth £2 million for Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kashmir, Somalia, Jordan and Nigeria. In a press release issued on Wednesday said that the organisation will distribute around 30,000 food packages among victims of 2010 and 2011 devastating floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and southern Punjab in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
20,000 food packages will be distributed in Somalia among the drought victims. The UWT is going to carry out biggest relief operation in its 11 year history in the horn of Africa comprising Somalia, Ethopia, Kenya and Djibouti. Around 20,000 food packages will be distributed in Niger and around 30,000 food packages will be distributed in Jordan among displaced people of Syria.
