Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday has termed the recent increase in power tariff by 2.38 per unit by Nepra as outrageous. According to a PTI's spokesperson, Nepra has approved a price increase of Rs 0.59 per unit for February and Rs 1.79 per unit for March, putting the overall increase at Rs 2.38 per unit against the two months under fuel adjustment.
The government is determined to make it impossible for the ordinary Pakistani to survive. It has done nothing but enhance the misery of the public by announcing price hikes in electricity, gas and petroleum products to finance their own exorbitant expenditures.
"State Bank of Pakistan has already stated that the economy has shrunk and will not be able to achieve its growth target of 4 percent. It also stated that the government's borrowing is at an all time high putting extreme pressure on the national exchequer. The government has broken all records of corruption and misappropriation.
