Envoy urges Pakistanis to work diligently towards development of Saudi Arabia

Pakistan's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Muhammed Naeem Khan on Saturday stressed on the Pakistani community to work diligently for the uplift and development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as it is their second home. He was addressing a reception here given in honour of Sehar Kamran, Principal Pakistan International School Hia Rehab, on becoming a member of the Senate of Pakistan by the community.
Consul General, Abdul Salik Khan, Managing Editor, and Urdu News, Tariq Mishkhas were also among the dignitaries present on the occasion. A large number of Pakistani community members representing a wide cross-section of the community gathered to honour Senator Sehar Kamran.
Ambassador Khan further said that he was happy to see that a wide cross-section of the community, irrespective of their political inclinations, were present here and stressed that it was this show of unity and harmony which was a source of strength and energy. The Ambassador congratulated Senator Sehar Kamran for being elected as a Senator and said he hoped that Senator Kamran would continue to serve the community in the same spirit as she has done to upgrade the school and made it a centre of excellence.
Speaking on Pakistan and Saudi Arabia relationship he said that relations between two countries are deep-rooted, unparalleled and people-centric, adding, both the nations depend on each other for safety and security of both the countries. Consul General, Abdul Salik Khan speaking on the occasion, congratulated Sehar Kamran on being elected as a Senator and highlighted how she had worked to serve the school and the community with all her spirit, energy and sincerity.
For her dedication to work, the government of Pakistan honoured her with Sitara-e-Imtiaz and now she has been elected to the prestigious Senate of Pakistan, he added. In her speech as Chief Guest, Senator Sehar Kamran thanked the Ambassador, the Consul General, Tariq Mishkhas and the community speakers gathered to honour her on the occasion. She underlined that her success was not possible without the co-operation and the support of the Pakistani community members. She stressed that she would serve her countrymen, irrespective of party affiliations.
She said that her presence on the occasion was purely in the capacity of a representative of Pakistan. Senator Sehar Kamran lauded the Ambassador of Pakistan and Consul General Pakistan and said that both the diplomats are serving the community members with utmost energy and appreciation.
Other Speakers also underlined that sincerity and continuous strive are the only parameters that guarantee realisation of objectives. Speakers prayed that Sehar Kamran would continue her 'magical' efforts in the service of the community members. The speakers including Chaudhry Akram, Salman Arain, Mansha Toor, and Masood Puri paid rich tributes to the selfless contributions and rich services of Sehar Kamran towards the Pak community members in Saudi Arabia.
They prayed that Senator Sehar Kamran would continue to serve Pakistan and the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia with zeal and enthusiasm and be their true representative in Pakistan and strive to make their voice heard by working for their uplift and well being of Overseas Pakistanis in the Senate of Pakistan.
