The father of former Naib Nazim of UC-4 Gujjro Gaddap Town was gunned down while three others were injured in a drive-by shooting at a café in the jurisdiction of Sohrab Goth police station. According to police, the incident took place at Malik Agha Hotel located in Decent Plaza Super Highway in the jurisdiction of Sohrab Goth police station where unidentified armed riders opened fire on Haji Hashim Khan Mehsud, 75, son of Tehseel Khan, Yousuf, Shaukat and Wilayat.
Resultantly, Khan Mehsud died on spot while the others were injured. The body and the injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for autopsy and treatment. DSP Iftikhar Lodhi said the victim Haji Hashim was the resident of same area and added that he was a famous transporter and father of former Naib Nazim UC-4 Gujjro Gaddap Town Liaquat Mehsud, who was also killed in same manners some three years ago. He suspected that the wanted man Sher Zaman Mehsud and his other accomplices might have been involved in this incident. Later police handed over his body to the heirs. No case was registered till filing of this report.
