The Chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has announced the schedule of meetings of the PAC, which would be held from 23rd May 2012, at the committee room No-1 of Sindh Assembly Building. According to details, on 23rd May, at 11:00 am, Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur, Karachi University and IBA Sukkur would come under audit review.
While, on 24th May, at 11:00 am, Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering Science & Technology Shaheed Benazirabad (Nawabshah) and University of Sindh, Jamshoro would come under Audit discussion. The PAC's last meeting would be held on May 25, in which officials of Irrigation departments would explain about Audit paras to the team of PAC.
The Principal Accounting Officers have been strongly advised to hold the Departmental Accounts Committee meetings well before the meetings of PAC, sources told. All the departmental/institutional heads have been asked that 40 copies of the working papers duly reconciled with the Accountant General (AG) Sindh and concerned audit departments, as the case may be, should be submitted to this secretariat at least seven working days before the date of the meetings.
It is further directed that along with hard copy of working papers, soft copy is in the shape of soft copies format may also be sent to this secretariat as the same are required for the PAC MIS system in due time without fail and ensure that the page numbering and legible and annexure to be attached, sources told as quoting the letter issued to secretaries of departments concerned.
