Punjab Bar Council here Friday suspended the practice licences of four lawyers who thrashed a cop at the Lahore High Court (LHC) premises. The disciplinary committee held the preliminary inquiry into the incident and suspended licences of 4 lawyers - Muhammad Rafique Jittoi, Tayyab Shaheen, Shahid Iqbal and Tasawwar Iqbal.
The matter has been referred to the disciplinary committee for thorough proceedings in the case. A group of lawyers had tortured Assistant Sub-Inspector Muhammad Khalid of Gujranwala at LHC.
