Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Muhammad Aslam Tareen has said that, in future, all cases under the Copyright Act, Section 66/67, would only be registered after prompt and thorough verification by the concerned SDPO, and with the approval of DIG Operations Wing, after personally hearing both the parties.
He pointed out that it has come to his observation that cases, under Copyright Act, Section 66/67, are being registered at the Thana level by police officers, without proper verification and with vested interest, which results in needless botheration and hassle to the law-abiding citizens in police stations and Katcharies.
