As many as 577 veterinary officers have completed capacity building training to uplift the inner capability and polish their innovative skills to contribute the livestock services across the province.
This was stated by Punjab Livestock and Dairy and Development Secretary, Hamid Yaqoob sheikh while addressing at certificate distribution ceremony of one-month long workshop on "Capacity building of livestock dairy development department officers for the establishment of advisory services" at conference hall of the university on Saturday.
The workshop was organised by University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) in collaboration with Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Department. Sheikh said that development of the livestock sector was the only way to poverty alleviation in the country. The livestock sector had the potential to grow and we had to exploit it to the maximum for uplift of the people. He urged the participants they should disseminate the knowledge through SMS or email to others. Secretary Livestock and Dairy and Development, Hamid Yaqoob Sheikh said that university had played pivotal role to conduct such training.
