The Chairman National Assembly Standing Committee on Culture MNA Syed Ameer Ali Shah Jamote said that the government had prepared a comprehensive plan for uplift of the rural areas with provision of all such facilities which were enjoying by the citizens of urban parts of the country.
Under the plan, the grants of the federal and provincial governments as well as public representatives would be utilised for completion of development schemes in rural areas so that the people of the rural areas could be facilitated with all basic facilities, he said this while talking to villagers of different villages of Union Council Tando Qaiser on Saturday.
Jamote visited these villages to review the pace of work on ongoing development schemes launched for uplift of these villages. He said that soon after coming into power, the PPP government started efforts of addressing the issues of the common people, completed series of development schemes in every nook and corner and provided job opportunities to tens of thousand unemployed youths of the country.
Only the federal government had created 0.1 million new jobs for unemployed youth overcoming the problem of unemployment and improving the socio economic condition of the poor people of the country, he said and added that the government was also striving to create job opportunities for jobless youth of rural areas in private sector. He said that the details of development schemes were being carried out in the villages of Union Council Tando Qaiser, which included farm to market roads, repair of damaged roads, cementing of streets and drain lines.
