The budget for 2012-13 earmarked a raise of 8.91 percent for the Interior Ministry while its components, Pakistan Coast Guard and Civil Armed Forces, received a rise of 22.2 and 17.4 percent respectively in the federal budget for 2012-2013. Total amount earmarked for Interior Ministry in budget 2012-2013 is Rs 58.501 billion against the revised allocation of Rs 53.27 billion in budget 2011-12.
Pakistan Rangers engaged in the war against terror, would receive Rs 12.602 billion in 2012-13 as opposed to Rs 11.535 billion in the current year and Frontier Constabulary has been budgeted Rs 6.265 billion in contrast to Rs 5.630 billion in 2011-12. Civil Armed Forces are budgeted to receive Rs 29 billion in contrast to Rs 24.08 billion in 2011-2012 and Pakistan Coast Guard would receive Rs 1.378 billion in the budget 2012-2013 against Rs 2.8 billion in 2011-2012. Islamabad will receive Rs 5.45 billion in the next fiscal year against Rs 4.85 billion in the current year. The budget allocates Rs 904,464,000 for Immigration and Passports in 2012-13 while in budget 2011-2012 allocation was Rs 856,571,000 million.
