Peshawar Zalmi introduce new kit for PSL 2018

Defending champions Peshawar Zalmi launched their new kit in a spectacular ceremony held in Lahore on Tuesday night.

Young cancer patients of Shaukat Khanum Hospital were specially invited at the launching event, where the official anthem of the franchise 'Hum Zalmi' was also released.

The latest eye-catching kits of the title holders were launched in a grand style in Lahore last night at Haier, Lahore premises. The event was attended by Zalmi players but the presence of cancer patients of Shaukat Khanum Cancer hospital added more value to the event.

Peshawar Zalmi Chairman Javed Afridi, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi, former PCB chief Shehryar Khan were also present at event.

Furthermore, Afridi also announced the renowned actress and model Mahira Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi as brand ambassadors of Peshawar Zalmi for third edition of the tournament.

Addressing the event, Afridi welcomed and thanked all the players and the guests. He further said that cricket and PSL always bring smiles on the faces of Pakistani nation and he congratulated PCB chairman and all other PSL franchises for their great support.

On this occasion, PCB chairman also congratulated Zalmi on the kit and anthem launch. Sethi declared Afridi as the most dynamic PSL franchise owner and praised his efforts in the revival of international cricket in Pakistan.

Peshawar Zalmi President Zaheer Abbas, Head coach Muhammad Akram and former PCB chairman Shehryar Khan were also notable speakers.

At the end of the glittering event, famous rock band 'Call' unveiled the Zalmi Anthem 'Hum Zalmi' and lit up the stage.
