Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said Sunday that he has given directions to Chief Secretary Balochistan to identify 15,000 graduates of Balochistan for providing joobs in government departments Fifteen hundred jobs in Federal Levies Force have already been provided to the people of Balochistan province, he added.
He said this while talking to a delegation of Pakistan People''s Party Balochistan led by its provincial President Mir Sadiq Umrani who called on him at Governor House here on Sunday.
"The 1,500 more jobs would also be given this year in the federal levies force in Balochistan," said PM Gilani adding that the federal government would further recruit 10,000 youths in different departments and out of them 5,000 would be sent abroad after requisition of required skills in their respective fields.
The Prime Minister said, "Balochistan is close to my heart for the welfare and well being of people of Balochistan." He said that under 18th amendment, provisional autonomy has been granted to the provinces to empower them. He said that under the 7th National Finance Commission Award (NFC), the share of Balochistan has gone to Rs 120 billion as compared to Rs 40 billion in past.
He said that federal government has allocated Rs 06 billions to provide scholarships to youth of Balochistan and created opportunisms for them to get education in the prime institutions of the country.
He said Rs 5 billion would be provided to deserving and poor families of Balochistan. He said completion of Kachhi canal would bring revolutionary change in the economy of Balochistan. He said that Rs 31 billion have been allocated for Kachhi canal project and full amount would be released this year for completion of this project.
He said Rs 3.2 billion has been allocated this year to complete road between Rato-Dero and Gwadar. "This road would help making the Gwadar port operational and it will improve connectivity between three provinces," the Prime Minister said.
Talking about Afghan transit trade, he said we have improved relations with all our neighbours and Afghan transit trade is the milestone in this regard.
Afghan Transit trade will bring billions of dollars revenue to Pakistan, he added.
He said that incumbent government of PPP has improved relations with Iran, China and other countries. He said that Rs 01 billion has been allocated for provision of natural gas to Chagai area adding that another amount of Rs 4.1 billion has been granted for development of Sui and Kolhu. Prime Minister said subsidy is being given on solar energy. The establishment of IT centres across the country would create jobs opportunities for millions of jobless people.
The people of Balochistan are very much patriotic and talented, they only need opportunity for which PPP is making hectic efforts, he added.
