The Senior Education Minister Sindh Pir Mazhar ul Haq Shahnawaz paid visit to Sindh University Campus Dadu and inspected various sections of the campus. During his visit the Pro Vice Chancellor of Campus Dr Anwar Ali Shah briefed the Minister about working and progress.
He briefed the Minister for allocation of seats for admissions to five disciplines and informed that 50 seats have been allocated for admissions to each discipline. He further informed that the campus has allocated district wise seats for admissions to candidates of Naushraferoz, Larkana, Jamshoro and Kambar Shahdadkot districts. He informed that the classes of academic session in Sindh University Campus Dadu had started since Jnauary, 2012, the students had completed first semester in April while final semester examinations have been completed in May,2012.
Dr Shah further informed that the Education Department of the Government of Sindh has released Rs 99 Million for rehabilitation of portion of building of Ustad Bukhari Degree College and the same was allotted to Campus and renovation work is in progress. He said that an additional PC-I for Rs 195 Million has been submitted to the education department for construction of additional 10 class rooms to cater the needs of increasing number of students. He expressed thank to the Minister for his efforts for allocation of 50 acres land free of cost for the campus and release of Rs 10 Million for the construction of compound wall of the Campus.
