The Karachi Port handled 38,645 tonnes of cargo including 23,821 tonnes of import, 14,824 tonnes of export cargo and 2,515 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during the last 24 hours of business activities ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 38,645 tonnes comprised of 14,825 tonnes of total containerised cargo; 286 tonnes of b bulk cargo and 8,710 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 14,824 tonnes comprised of 13,737 tonnes of total containerised cargo; 401 tonnes of b bulk cargo and 972 tonnes of cement cargo. A total number of 569 loaded 20' containers and 695 loaded 40' containers are handled during the reported period. While there are 22 unloaded 20' containers and no unloaded 40' containers are handled during the business hours on Wednesday.
A total number of six cargo vessels namely Hyundai General, Lodstar Genesis, Hanjin Durban, APL Brisbane, Cupper Karen and Glovis Cupper carrying containerised cargo, oil tankers, containerised cargo, oil tankers and vehicle cargo respectively are sail out to the sea during the business activity hours on Wednesday. There are total three cargo vessels namely Glovis Cupper, Cupper Karen and Jolly are currently occupying the berth to load/offload vehicle cargo, oil tankers and containerised cargo respectively during the reported period of business. There is only one cargo vessel namely Jolly carrying containerised cargo is expected to sail out to the sea on Wednesday.
There are three cargo vessels namely CSC Amethyst, Ever Result and Rio Bravo carrying mogas, and containerised cargo respectively are expected to arrive on Wednesday evening, while a total number of five cargo vessels namely M T Lahore, Water Breeze, Chemroute Sun, Alam Bakti and M T Karachi carrying containerised cargo, canola oil, ethanol, base oil, mogas and canola oil respectively are expected to arrive during the business activity hours on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
Port Qasim maintained port's activities of total cargo volume of 80,536 tonnes including 65,304 tonnes of import; 15,232 tonnes of export cargo and the total number of 2,904 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) are handled during the last 24 hours of business activity on Wednesday.
The total import cargo volume of 65,304 tonnes comprised of 9,659 tonnes of furnace oil; 8,500 tonnes of edible oil and 47,145 tonnes of containerised cargo are handled during the business activity hours of the port on Wednesday. The total export cargo volume of 15,232 tonnes comprised of 1,393 tonnes of cement and 13,839 tonnes of containerised cargo are handled during the reported period of activities on Wednesday.
There are only three cargo vessels namely C V Strilen, Maersk Kingston and Bow Fraternity carrying edible oil, containerised cargo and edible oil respectively sailed out to the sea on Wednesday morning from Liquid Container Terminal, Qasim International Containers Terminal and MW-1.
A total number of six cargo vessels namely M V Maersk Kingston, M V Leo Pard-B, M V Bow Fraternity, C V BBC Quebec, M T Quetta and M V Strilen are currently occupying the berths to load/offload containerised cargo, cement cargo, general cargo, furnace oil tankers and edible oil tanker respectively during the last 24 hours of business activities at the port on Wednesday.
There are four vessels namely M V Mare Atlanticum, M T Akaki, Bworinoco and CMG Wagner carrying containerised cargo, furnace oil, diesel oil and containerised cargo respectively are currently to line up at the outer anchorage to sail out to the sea during the Business activity hours on Wednesday. There is only one cargo vessel namely CMG Wagner carrying containerised cargo is expected to arrive at Qasim International Containers Terminal during the business actity hours.
