In a bid to step up the on-going protest drive against the government, Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Friday announced that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will stage sit-in outside Presidency and Prime Minister House on Monday. Talking to media person outside Parliament House, Nisar alleged the government for becoming deaf and dumb which doesn't listen any language other than that of protest.
"Unfortunately both, the President, Prime Minister and Interior are corrupt and convicted. How can the criminals and corrupt people lead the nation?" he asked, alleging the Prime Minister for hiding corruption of President Zardari. "Which law allows the Prime Minister to spend billions from the national exchequer to hide corruption of the President," he questioned. Nisar also regretted that the government adjourned the National Assembly session in desperation to avoid wrath of the PML-N.
He lashed out at the government saying that the rulers were allegedly hatching conspiracies against the Chief Justice through property tycoon, Malik Riaz by blackmailing the Chief Justice's son Dr Arsalan Iftikhar. "It has been established that the property dealer hatched conspiracy to trap Chief Justice's son," he said, adding, "The whole drama has been created by Malik Riaz, who even does not take a breath without permission of President Zardari." He, however, declined to comment whether the CJ's son took money from Malik Riaz or not saying that it was on the court to decide.
Nisar said that he was not ready to agree with those who think Malik Riaz did all this without the consent of President Asif Ali Zardari. To a question, the leader of opposition said that anybody including his party members if involved in any business deal with Malik Riaz would be considered as part of his "Riaz" misdeeds. He also announced to wage "jihad" against those involved in business deals with Malik Riaz even if they belong to PML-N.
About his party's protest drive, Nisar said that on Monday the PML-N lawmakers will stage sit-in outside Presidency and Prime Minister House, adding that they will not tolerate the highhandedness of the rulers, as on one hand masses were being the victims of worst power outages, while on the other hand the rulers were enjoying VVIP culture.
