Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has won Rs 3.15 billion project of Universal Service Fund (USF) to provide basic telephony and data services in Mastung district of Balochistan. Through an open bidding process, PTCL has won the rights for the Rural Telecom Services Project.
An agreement for the project was signed here this week between PTCL and USF, which was witnessed by Federal Minister for IT & Telecom, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf. Through the Rural Telecom Services Project, PTCL will benefit a population of 74,831 people residing in 102 un-served Muzas of Balochistan. The covered area consists of Mastung, Nushki and Ziarat districts, which will be provided basic telephony and data services by the telecom giant.
