Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has constituted a nine-member bench to resume from Tuesday (today) the hearing of Memogate scandal.
The bench led by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry also comprises Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, Justice Tariq Parvez, Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Amir Hani Muslim, Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry and Justice Sh. Azmat Saeed to hear the constitutional petitions regarding the alleged memo delivered to US Joint Chief Staff Admiral Mike Mullen.
The Memo Commission, which was constituted by the Supreme Court on June 11, submitted its report, in sealed covers. The Registrar office also issued notices to the petitioners through their counsel and the learned Attorney General for Pakistan. Memo commission secretary, session judge Jawwad Abbas submitted the sealed probe report in the SC registrar office.
