The first session of 13th Round of Pak-India Secretary talks held on Monday at Ministry of Defence in which Siachen issue remained the focal point along with others bilateral issues. Pakistan Defence Secretary Nargas Sethi and her Indian counterpart Shishi Kant Sharma led their respective delegations.
The talks held in a cordial atmosphere and both sides exchanged their view points on the prevailing issues between Pakistan and India. Salman Bashir, Pakistan's High Commissioner to India and his counterpart in Pakistan Shart Sabharwal were also present during the talks, which would also continue today (Tuesday).
Latter, the Indian delegation also met Defence Minster Syed Naveed Qamar in his office. Naveed Qamar said that it was in the interest of both India and Pakistan to seek the amicable resolution to all the outstanding issues including Siachen. The eight-member Indian delegation led by Indian Defence Secretary Shashi Kant Sharma arrived on Sunday on a three days visit to Pakistan. The delegation was received by senior officials of Defence Ministry at Chaklala Airport.
