Leaders of the Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC) held a protest rally against expected restoration of Nato supplies and warned the government to refrain from such pro-US steps, otherwise, masses will come out to streets against it.
The rally was started from Ashraf road internal city while passing through different shopping markets and bazaars culminated at Kabli Chowk, Qissa Khawani.
The rally led by the DPC central and provincial leaders, including Maulana Samiul Haq, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Provincial Ameer, Professor Ibrahim Khan, Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam - Samiul Haq (JUI-S) Provincial Ameer Maulana Yousaf Shah, JI Provincial General Secretary, Shabir Ahmad Khan and others.
The demonstrators were holding placards and banners inscribed slogans against the government pro-US policies and the expected restoration of Nato supply route and increasing US drone attacks. The protestors chanted slogans against President Asif Ali Zardari, PM Yousuf Raza Gilani, ANP Chief Asfandyar and in favour of 'Jihad'.
The DPC leaders while talking to media persons during the demonstration said that the 'DPC movement will continue against the growing US interference in this region.
