Six burnt and congenitally abnormal children are being sent to America in collaboration with House of Charity and Shalamar Hospital. The treatment expenditure in America will be borne by Shalamar Hospital and House of Charity, USA. The children are Zeshan, Abdul Qadir, Rizwana, Kinza Khushi Mohammad, Mohammad Yousuf and Kinza Nawaz with two escort nurses, Sister Arsala and Sister Ayesha.
Furthermore, there are ample numbers of burnt and congenitally abnormal children which are being treated in Shalamar Hospital round the year. They have been able to spend their routine normal lives.
The children who can't be treated in Shalamar Hospital are sent to US for free extensive surgery treatment, a spokesman of the Hospital said.
According to him, there are hundreds of children treated under this collaboration with House of Charity and till date 46 children have got successful extensive surgeries from US.
In Shalamar Hospital's House of Charity ward, 5,136 children registered after initial scanning and 2,451 children had successfully been operated, while five children will be sent to America in next tour. Director House of Charity, Hashmat Afendi with team of senior surgeons comes up for surgeries in Shalamar Hospital. In this context, Chief Executive Shalamar Hospital Dr Rashid Ahmed told newsmen that all the expenditure, which was incurred during their stay at America, would be borne by Shalamar Hospital & House of Charity.
