The Executive Board of National Accountability Bureau (NAB), in its meeting held here on Monday with NAB Admiral Fasih Bokhari (Retd) in the chair, decided to file a supplementary reference against Nisar Hussain Shah, ex-DG (Livestock). The accused was alleged to accumulate assets beyond his known sources of income and a reference having worth Rs 28.8 million (approx) was filed in the Accountability Court in December 2009.
During course of trial an additional property (a house in Jinnah Town Quetta) has been detected in the name of the accused purchased in the year 1998 in the name of his son. The value of the property is estimated at Rs 11.94 million. In another case the Board decided to conduct compliant verification against Naeem Ullah Shahani, Ex-MPA and Aleemullah Shahani, Ex-Tehsil Nazim Bhakkar. The accused were alleged for manipulated transfer of 46 plots in Bhakkar City in the name of their servants worth Rs 60 million accumulating assets disproportionate to their legal means of income.
The Board also decided to close three inquiries; first against Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Senior Manager Development, PTCL; second against the Management of Shangrilla Towers and others; third against Divisional Engineer Telegraph, Naushki and others as it was based on Audit Paras and was not forwarded to NAB by PAC or Auditor General of Pakistan.-PR
