The Punjab government has estimated to get Rs 6,816.186 million through loan recoveries and advances in FY 2012-13. Of the total, Rs 6,430 million will be recovered from Bank of the Punjab and Punjab Provincial Co-operative Bank Limited.
An amount of Rs 4,900 million will be recovered from Bank of Punjab on issuance of right shares subsequent to a capital injection of Rs 10,000 million by the Punjab government through a loan from State Bank of Pakistan and Rs 1,530 million will be repaid by Punjab Provincial Co-operative Bank Limited (PPCBL) on account of repayment of loan extended to PPCBL, sources said.
Under Development Revenue Receipts, which are primarily grants from foreign multilaterals for specific development projects, the Budget Estimates 2012-13 have been pitched at just Rs 117 million. As per budget document, the Revised Estimates 2011-12 of Development Revenue Receipt was Rs 684 million compared to Budget Estimates 2011-12 of Rs 1,025 million.
In 2012-13, it has been estimated to get Rs 10 million for JICA-Punjab Water & Sanitation Academy, Lahore, Rs 48 million for JICA-Retrieval of Sewerage & Drainage for Lahore City, Rs 7 million for optimising canal and groundwater management to assist water user association in maximising crop production and management salinisation with Australia assistance, Rs 25 million for up-gradation of mechanical system of WASA, Faisalabad and Rs 27 million for Non-formal Education Promotion Project (JICA).
