The report of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ombudsman revealed that a maximum number of complaints are filed against the Elementary and Secondary education. As many as 74 complaints with of percentage of 14 were registered against the elementary and secondary education, said in a report of the provincial ombudsman. According to report, more than 532 complaints were filed out of which nearly 462 decided during one and half year.
Recently, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ombudsman had launched a report about its overall performance since its creation a one and half year back. The report said that a total of 532 complaints out of which 462 were decided, whereas nearly 72 complaints were undecided due to lack of documental prove, procedural and other certain reasons.
A total of 532 complaints, 249 were maintainable with ratio of 46.8 percent, while 283 were un-maintainable with rate of 53.2 percent, while 179 complaints had been decided after investigation. Similarly, the inquiry of more than 70 cases was still underway. The report further elaborated that the complaints decided in favour of complainants is about 85, while more than 49 complaints were decided against the complainants.
Likewise, a total of 49 findings of complaints had been implemented, while around 23 are still pending due to certain reasons. The Khyber Paktunkhwa Ombudsman had restrained to entertain nearly 79 complaints relating to federal agencies due to out of jurisdiction.
The report said that the department of Elementary and Secondary Education had the maximum number of complaints with 74, followed by provincial disaster management with 34, health department with 32 complaints, police with 32, and revenue department with 24, adding that more than 53 miscellaneous nature cases were registered.
The report informed that the provincial ombudsman would launch website and mobile services with the support of UNDP, meant for easy accessibility to all relevant information, findings of the cases, regulations, services rules, procedures and process of filling complaints via electronic mean.
