Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) on Friday issued renewed schedule of loadshedding for urban and rural areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The company said that due to decrease in power generation and allotted loadshedding quota of 1,085MW, it has revised the load management schedule. According to that schedule.10 to 12 hours loadshedding will be carried out in urban areas and 13 to 14 hours loadshedding will be carried out in rural areas.
For overcoming of the energy shortage, the management of the company has requested the consumers for conservation of energy. Pesco is taking all possible steps to overcome the energy crisis, however public is also requested, to conserve energy by means of less consumption especially during the peak hours ie from 6.00 pm, to 11.00 pm.
Marriage halls, petrol pumps and jewellers shops have been asked to avoid use of decorative lights. The domestic consumers are also requested to use energy savers and tube lights instead of bulbs and must iron their clothes in day time so that energy could be saved. Similarly stealing also creates power shortage and power distribution system is hence severely over loaded.
Tube well operators are required to operate tube wells in accordance with loadshedding schedule, so that customers does not face difficulties in getting water. Due to severe over loading, RCC Islamabad on Thursday carried out 792MW Forced Loadshedding in different parts of KP. All efforts are being made to overcome this energy crisis and very soon the situation will be eased. Bills: To facilitate Customers Pesco has launched another revolutionary step to provide information about your electricity bills through SMS Mobile Phones. This facility will enable customers to know the details of their bills well in time and then they can make the payment early.
