Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary on Wednesday urged the lawyer's fraternity to try their best to plead the cases of litigants efficiently for providing them inexpensive and speedy justice. He expressed these views during a meeting with a 10-member delegation of Kabal sub-divisional Bar Association headed by its President Sardar Ahmed Khan Yousafzai held here at the Supreme Court Building.
The delegation discussed with the CJP the issues of legal fraternity and informed him about difficulties faced by them. He also told about the violation of human rights in Swat and requested him for taking an action in this regard. The delegates also apprised the CJP that there were jails in Timergara and Boner and the prisoners and lawyers face great hardships in making appearance at Kabal. "We find it difficult in pleading the cases of under trial prisoners," the delegates said and requested for construction of jails in Mingora and Kabal. The Chief Justice assured them to take up the matter with concerned quarters.
