Former Supreme Court Judge, Justice Syed Zahid Hussain Bokhari, in his letter to Chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the National Assembly, said he hadn't got any plot in Islamabad. Refuting the list issued by PAC of those judges who were given more than one plot in Islamabad, Bokhari said that he had not got any such plot.
Justice Zahid through his counsel M A Zafar also asked the PAC to issue media clarification in this regard. He said the name of Justice Hussain, former Chief Justice Punjab and former judge supreme court, is appearing on media along with those judges who were allotted plots under the scheme meant for BS 22 officers. In order to set and correct the record it is clarified that on his appointment in the Supreme Court he was offered allotment of a residential plot in Sector D-12 Islamabad, he said. However, he did not pursue the matter any further, Zafar said adding that accordingly he had got no plot nor did he have possession of any such plot. He said, "I hope the committee will make correction in its proceedings and will issue the necessary directions/ clarification to the media in this respect."
