China fully stands by Pakistan on its stance on Nato supply and the question of sovereignty and territorial integrity, extending all possible diplomatic support on war on terror. "We also highly appreciate Pakistan's position on Nato's supply to Afghanistan," said Vice President, China Institute of International Studies, Dong Manyan while talking with a group of Pakistani journalists that recently visited Beijing.
Pakistan has rendered great contribution and sacrifices in its efforts to combat terrorism, he adding, this courageous role was also acknowledged by international community. Eulogisng Pak-China decades' strategy partnership, Dong Manyan said it was based on principle of mutual respect. He reiterated, saying, our friendship is higher than Himalaya and deeper than Pacific Ocean, adding, "any effort to harm it or create mistrust will go vain". He said China is also victim of international terrorism and expressed optimism saying that "our joint efforts will enable us to fight out terrorism and extremism".
During the meetings with media delegation, the Chinese officials and members of think-tank, expressed sentiments of hospitality, warmth and love for the people of Pakistan. The media delegation was on a seven-day visit to China on the invitation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China for creating awareness about the cultural similarities of both the friendly nations and sharing opportunities of joint ventures in different fields.
Beside Beijing, the delegation also visited three beautiful cities of China including Changsha in Hunan Province and Urumqi in Xinjiang and held meetings with the high officials.
Pakistan Ambassador in Beijing Masood Khan during an interaction with the delegation condemned the killing of Pakistani soldiers in errant Nato airstrikes and said territorial integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan should be respected after reopening of Nato supply route.
