Activists of different students' federation and organisations on Wednesday held a protest demonstration against the reopening of Nato supplies routes, announced to launch an agitation movement in this regard. A large number of students activists led by Nazim Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) district Peshawar, Abid Ullah Shaheen, were gathered outside the Peshawar Press Club to condemn the government decision of reopening of Nato supplies to alliance troops in Afghanistan.
The demonstrators were holding placards and banners chanted anti-US slogans, demanding to review decision and immediate ending American influence in this part of the region. Talking to reporters, IJT Nazim Abidullah strongly opposed the government decision for restoring supplies route to Nato forces, saying that it was tantamount to dishonest with the patriotic soldiers, who gave their lives for the motherland.
