PESHAWAR: Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has demanded abolition of restrictions on transportation of wheat to provide uninterrupted supply of the commodity to the flour mills of the province.
The demand was made during a meeting of the executive body of the association held here with Chairman, Haji Iqbal Khan in the chair.
Besides, the group leader, Mohammad Naeem Butt, mill owners from across the province attended.
The meeting also expressed deep concern that despite PTI governments at both federal and provincial level and clear announcement of Prime Minister Imran Khan regarding no restriction on the transportation of wheat across the country, the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is seizing the wheat purchased by the flour millers in Punjab and harassing them through arrests.
