ISLAMABAD: Around 47 percent patients of Covid-19 have been recovered so far, and the number of new confirmed reported cases has witnessed a decrease in the federal capital, official data revealed.

According to the official data on Thursday, out of total 11,710 reported cases in the city, 5,424 patients have so far recovered.

The number of deaths rose to 115 after seven more lost their lives in the fight against Covid-19.

Senior officials of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) said the number of daily reported cases had come down after the administration imposed smart lockdown in various residential sectors of the city, and strict implementation of standard operating procedures (SOP).

They said two sub-sectors of G-9 were sealed on June 13, and two sub-sectors of I-8 and I-10 were sealed on June 18, which were identified as hotspots with a high level of transmission.

The number of reported cases in the capital on June 24 were 11,483 , one June 23 were 11,219, on June 22 there were 10,932 cases, on June 21, 10,662, on June 20, 10,279, on June 19, 9,941, on June 18, 9,637, on June 17, 9,242, on June 16, 8,857, on June 15, 8,569, on June 14, 7,934, on June 13, 7,163, on June 12, 6,699, June 11, 6,236, June 10, 5,963, June 9, 5,783, June 8, 5,329, June 7, 4,979, June 6, 4,323, June 5, 3,946, June 4, 3,544, June 3, 3,188, June 2, 2,893, and on June 1, 2,589.
