KARACHI: On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,297.
The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 10.170 billion and the number of lots traded was 15,254.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 5.428 billion, followed by DJ PKR 976.375 million, NSDQ 100 PKR 930.070 million, crude oil PKR 675.964 million, silver PKR 634.268 million, currencies through COTS PKR 576.011 million, natural gas PKR 337.903 million, platinum PKR 308.350 million, SP500 PKR 276.763 million and copper PKR 25.777 million.
In agriculture commodities, 3 lot of wheat amounting to PKR 12.192 million were traded.
