"In pursuit of promoting excellence in corporate management, as enunciated in the Memorandum and Articles of the Management Association of Pakistan (MAP), Corporate Excellence awards were instituted in 1982 by MAP. Since then, we in MAP have devotedly organized such annual events and this year, we are holding our 35th Corporate Annual Awards.
MAP's objective has always been to encourage a healthy competition among the business organizations so that they strive and excel in delivering value to their customers while conforming to international standards.
I am glad that MAP has endeavored to involve companies of all sectors of PSX in the award process and participation from major sectors has increased e.g. companies in "Sugar & Allied" sectors have participated for the first time in the assessment process, similarly Textile sector has also started taking part since last year.
I wish to thank the management of contesting companies for the cooperation extended to MAP Secretariat and to our outsourced partner M/S FAMCO Associates, who were able to conclude this arduous task timely and in a most transparent manner.
